VIB funded the “Future Bankers” program
On 11th November, at the Academy of Banking, the final contest "Future Bankers of 2010 - A professional start" was successfully organized.
The program was attended by Dr. Nguyen Kim Anh - Deputy Director of the Academy of Banking, Dr. Do Kim Hao - Dean of Banking Department, the Academy of Banking, Ms. Duong Thi Mai Hoa - Deputy CEO of VIB and Head of the Retail Banking, representatives from the press, and the school’s teachers and students...
In the final contest, the 4 best out of 120 teams, which had competed in previous contests, acted as modern banks: Keybank, NHD Bank, VS bank, and Wolves bank and convincingly demonstrated themselves through 3 rounds: start a business, increase capital, and make adventurous investments and eloquent banker.
With a more persuasive answer to the question "At present, competition in the banking sector is increasingly fierce, as a representative for a foreign bank which opens its branch in Vietnam for the first time, what will you do, in the short-term and long-term periods, to make an impression on and attract customers?”, VS bank deserves the championship.
“A professional start” has been a truly healthy, unique and useful playground for students to learn about the banking and financial sector as well as knowledge and skills of modern banking staff.
As both a sponsor and a member of the Organizing Committee, VIB hopes that this will be a useful playground for the students to help them with initial steps in building a career path for themselves. The bank’s involvement is to create opportunities for the students to experience practical banking activities while they are still at school. Also, this is one of the goals, that the Organizing Committee aims at, to help the students narrow the gap between the academic theory and the real banking practices so that they will be no longer unfamiliar with the practices after school.
