Notice of adjustment to transaction lilimits and policy for receiving funds into VIB accounts for foreign customes and non-resident Vietnamese

In compliance with Circular No. 16/2014/TT-NHNN dated August 1, 2014, guiding the use of foreign currency accounts and Vietnamese dong accounts of residents and non-residents at permitted banks, Vietnam International Bank (VIB) would like to announce adjustments to transaction limits and the policy for receiving funds into payment accounts for foreign individuals and non-resident Vietnamese. Specifically, the details are as follows:

1. Adjustment to Daily Transaction Limits on MyVIB:

From August 11, 2024, VIB will adjust the daily transaction limit on MyVIB for customers to 100 million VND/day to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

2. Restriction on Receiving Funds into VIB Accounts:

For transactions involving receiving funds into payment accounts at VIB by foreign individuals and non-resident Vietnamese, VIB will adjust the policy as follows, effective August 11, 2024:

If your residency status has changed, VIB recommends that you access the MyVIB digital banking app and complete the identification process today to update your residency status and avoid any transaction disruptions.
