Notice on launching biometric authentication for legal representatives of corporate customers

In compliance with Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam on the opening and use of current accounts at payment service providers, effective from July 1, 2025, corporate customers will only be allowed to withdraw funds or make payment transactions via electronic channels after the Legal Representative (LR) has successfully completed identity verification using official identification documents and biometric information.

To avoid any disruption to your company’s financial transactions on Internet Banking, VIB Corp, and VIB Business, VIB strongly recommends that the LR complete biometric authentication before July 1, 2025.

• For Vietnamese citizens: A valid Citizen ID Card;
• For foreign nationals: A valid passport and documents proving legal entry into Vietnam.
