VIB Debit card rewards, cashback program terms and conditions
1. General programme regulations

2. Details of the Promotion program
2.1 General Regulation
- Spending transactions: are spending and purchases transactions made by the Customer with VIB Credit Card for goods and services payment transaction1 based on the Customer's own legally personal consumption purposes2 via POS and the Internet at card-accepting points of sales (or merchants) and accounting entries are recorded on VIB card system during the promotion period as follow:
- Spending transactions of Supplementary Card will be recorded to the Primary Card; or
- Spending transactions of Primary, Supplementary Cards are recorded separately for each Card depending on each program regulated details in this terms and conditions;
- Special transactions: are spending transactions for the game, mobile recharge and gift cards, or transactions happened at merchants that VIB determines that is the working place of the Cardholder3 (including the case of Cardholder's working place is only a store, branch, holding company, subsidiary company of its merchants or companies with having the same holding company, belonging to the same Group/Corporation of its merchants)
- MCC: MCC is the Merchant Category Code list determined depending on the MCC code established by seller and acquiring bank as the regulation of the international card schemes.
- The type of amount will be excluded in the spending value of the promotion:
- Goods and Services ’s Tax;
- Debit adjustments and other fees according to the fee schedule;
- Transactions without MCC codes, including but not limited to: QR code payments, bill payments via Internet Banking/Mobile App (MyVIB);
- Deposit transactions, payments related to real estate transfers (including land use rights and/or attached assets);
- Utilities payment transaction at the merchants such as electricity, water, telephone, internet, television;
- Transactions with MCC code 4900, 4814 excepting the special regulations according to the corresponding ones to each specific card product as regulated by VIB in period.
- MCC 4900: Utilities: Electric, Gas, Heating Oil, Sanitary, Water
- MCC 4814: Telecommunication Services including but not limited to prepaid phone services and recurring phone services
- Insurance contract fee payment which Cardholder is not the Buyer4 , payment transaction for the advance payment of the refundable value of the Insurance Policy;
- Payment transactions at online advertising merchants (including but unlimited Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads) excepting the special regulations according to the corresponding ones to each specific card product as regulated by VIB in period;
- Transaction is recorded on the Statement on the billing cycle date after the Card has been cancelled;
2.2 Points accumulation program for VIB Junior Smart Card
Get points according to the Value of Spending Transactions as follows:
- 0.1% (x) the value of spending transaction in the statement period;
- The maximum accumulated points/statement period for Special Transactions: 50,000 points;
- Total points per statement period: unlimited;
2.3 Points accumulation program for VIB Smart Card
- Customers earn reward points according to an accumulation rate multiplied by the value of online payment transactions (transactions conducted electronically through Online Banking) as follows:

2.4 Points accumulation and Airport lounge visit or Fast-track services for VIB Platinum Card
2.4.1 Benefit 1 - Points accumulation for overseas spending
- Customers earn reward points according to an accumulation rate multiplied by the amount of overseas spending transactions (transactions at merchants outside Vietnam and processed in foreign currency) as follows:

2.4.2 Benefit 2 - Airport lounge or Fast track services
- The Primary Cardholder automatically receives 02 Airport lounge or Fast track services per year.
- Customers earn 01 additional Airport lounge or Fast track services for every 30 million VND of overseas spending on the Primary/ Supplementary Card (whichever card meets the condition earns the visit). Additional visits are unlimited.
- Airport lounge and Fast track services are provided by third party service providers subject to their terms and conditions. Once redeemed, it is cannot be cancelled or refunded, unless otherwise decided by VIB.
2.5 Points accumulation and Airport lounge or Fast track services program for VIB Premier Signature Card and VIB Priority Signature Card
2.5.1 Benefit 1 - Points accumulation for selected spending categories
Earn Reward Points based on the Rate (x) of the value of spending transaction as follows:
- Customers register one of the following Group of Spending Categories to accumulate reward points: Travel, Shopping or Dining, detail as follows
- Registration is done through MyVIB and/or other channels specified by VIB. The successful registration time is when VIB records Customer’s registration in its system, and this is reflected on MyVIB.
- The Group of Spending Categories will be being effect from the time the Customer successfully registers. (In case the Customer registers to change the Group of Spending Categories, the Customer will be entitled to the promotion according to the new registered ones from the time of new registration and will not change the Reward Points already entitled before)
- The rate for Group of Spending Categories depends on the average monthly balance of Customer’s current account in the month preceding the transaction month:

2.5.2 Benefit 2 - Airport lounge or Fast track services
- The Primary Cardholder automatically receives 04 Airport lounge or Fast track visits per year.
- Customers earn 01 additional Airport lounge or Fast track services for every 30 million VND of overseas spending on the Primary/ Supplementary card (whichever card meets the condition earns the visit). Additional visits are unlimited.
- Airport lounge and fast track services are provided by third party service providers subject to their terms and conditions. Once redeemed, it is cannot be cancelled or refunded, unless otherwise decided by VIB.
3. Process, methods and procedures for receiving rewards
3.1 Regarding Reward Points
3.1.1 Method of Receiving Reward Points: Reward Points will be automatically calculated by the VIB card system, recorded and displayed on MyVIB and monthly Card statements (hereinafter referred to as the Rewards Account) based on eligible spending transactions that meet the program’s conditions.
3.1.2 Redemption of Reward Points: Redemption into credited amounts to the Card account/annual fees/gifts.
- During the validity period of the Card and the duration of this promotion, Customers must use MyVIB to carry out the redemption by themselves:
- Redeem Reward Points into credited amounts to the Card account; or
- Redeem Reward Points into gifts; or
- Redeem Reward Points to annual fees;
- Reward Points required for redemption corresponding to specific gifts/amounts/annual fees will be according to the redemption catalog at the time Customer redeems, as notified and posted on MyVIB.
- Reward Points balance in the Rewards Account will be deducted accordingly by the successfully redeemed Points.
3.1.3 Other Regulations Regarding Reward Points
- Customers are not allowed to use, buy, sell, exchange, gift, transfer, transfer the accumulated reward points (not yet redeemed), unless otherwise stated in the regulations of each program offered by VIB at various times.
- Customer cannot redeem points if Customer's Card is locked for any reason.
- Any and/or all accumulated rewards points will immediately expire and VIB will not be required to refund, renew or compensate in the following cases:
- Reward points accumulated over 06 months from the time of being credited to Rewards Account and not yet redeemed by Customer;
- Cancelled card;
- Expired card;
- Cards are converted into another type of VIB debit card products;
- The Customer violates the Terms and Conditions of Card usage of the Card product that the Customer is using.
- Successfully redeemed rewards points will not be canceled or refunded upon request from the Customer in any case, unless VIB decides otherwise.
3.2 Regarding Airport lounge or Fast track services
3.2.1 Method of receiving Airport lounge or Fast track services: Airport lounge or Fast track services will be automatically calculated by the VIB card system, recorded and displayed on MyVIB/ monthly statements/ other methods as regulated by VIB in each period based on the default number of visits and eligible spending transactions under the program conditions.
3.2.2 Booking Airport lounge or Fast track services:
- During the validity period of the Card and the promotion period, Customers must use MyVIB/ VIB’s hotline, or other methods as regulated by VIB in each period to make their own bookings for lounge visits or fast-track services.
- The number of available Airport lounge or Fast track services usage will be deducted accordingly based on the number of successfully booked.
3.3 General Regulations on Reward Redemption
- In case the customer converts the points into a gift, the last time VIB is responsible for transferring the gift redeemed by the customer is 30 days from the date the customer successfully redeems it or 45 days if the redemption date success falls on holidays, Tet.
- In case the Customers converts to an annual fee, the VIB card system will automatically record the Customer’s annual fee waiver for the next year after the Customer successfully converts.
- In case where Customers converts to a credited amount to the Card account, the VIB system will automatically credit the amount after the Customer successfully converts.
- VIB is not responsible for any loss, damage (including but unlimited to indirect and derivative losses) or any personal accident resulting from participation in the Program or as a result of the receipt or use of any gift or service, except as provided by Law.
- Customers enjoying promotions/gifts must pay taxes and fees in accordance with current law (if any).
4. Regulations on handling reverted transactions, transactions not eligible for promotion
4.1 For the loyalty program
- Any refunded Card transaction for which the Customer has been entitled to a promotion for the amount of such transaction (including transactions to receive rewards points and/or transactions to Pay with Points to enjoy promotions), Customer is obliged to return to VIB the corresponding reward points. Specifically, the corresponding reward points will be deducted with the existing points of customer’s Rewards Account, and/or, if the Rewards Account is not enough points to be debited, VIB will debited with a negative value (Debit) to the Customer's Rewards Account (Debited Points). The debited points will be processed according to the provisions of Session d below.
- For any transaction that VIB suspects to be invalid (including fraud or abuse to gain promotional benefits, including transactions that earned reward points), based on transaction date, location, or other information, VIB may request Customer to provide a valid invoice5 , with Customer’s name detailing the purchased goods or services and any other documents as required by VIB (“Transaction Proof”) within 05 business days from the request for verification.
- To prevent customers from abusing promotions, when VIB requests the Transaction Proof, Customer must provide it. The reward points earned from this transaction will be deducted from the Rewards Account. If the balance is insufficient, VIB will record a negative balance (Debit Points) in the account. Debit Points will be handled as described in Clause d below;
- If VIB determines the Transaction Proof/ Transaction is valid under program’s terms, the transaction amount will count toward the promotion. VIB will refund or credit the corresponding reward points to the Rewards Account or refund/credit the amount previously debited to Customer’s Card/ Current account.
- If Customer fails to provide/ provides incomplete Transaction proof within the time requested by VIB, and/or VIB determines that all or part of the Transaction proof/ Transaction is invalid, the spending amount of such transactions will not be counted toward the promotional. VIB will not refund or credit reward points to the Rewards Account, or not refund or credit any amounts previously debited or deducted to Customer’s Card/ Current account for transactions that do not qualify for the promotion;
- VIB reserves the right to correct any errors in reward point calculations. Adjusted points will be deducted from the Reward Point Account. If the balance is insufficient, VIB will record a negative balance (Debit Points) in the account. Debit Points will be handled as described in Clause d below.
- Debit Points arising under items a, b or c will be converted to cash according to Clause e below when Card is cancelled or at another time prescribed by VIB. The cash amount will be automatically debited from Customer’s Card/ Current account. Customer agrees not to lodge any complaints in this case.
- Conversion rates for Debit Points will follow the conversion list published on MyVIB. In case, at the time of conversion, the conversion list has not been published on MyVIB and/or does not specify the applicable conversion rate for the relevant Card, the conversion rate shall be determined as follows:

4.2 For Promotional Programs Offering Free Goods or Services
- VIB may cancel Airport lounge or Fast-track services awarded to the Cardholder if the qualifying transaction is refunded or deemed invalid (including fraud or abuse). If the services have been used, VIB may deduct the equivalent number of visits from the Cardholder’s remaining balance or convert the used visits into cash value (per the conversion rate below) and debit the amount from Customer’s Card/ Current account. Customer agrees not to lodge any complaints in this case.

5. Other regulations
- Customers are entitled to receive rewards points based on actual spending arising from the program launch date.
- VIB has the right to change the conversion rate of Debit Points or amend any terms of the program during its implementation. The latest version of these Rules will apply after 07 days from the day of published on VIB’s website (www.vib.com.vn). Amendments/additions will be notified to the competent authority in accordance with regulations.
- This VIB’s promotion program is registered with the competent state agency in accordance with the law. In the event that the program conflicts with any legal provisions or directives of any government agency, the program will be changed, canceled or modified to be consistent with its provisions of law, directives. All materials, data and information of VIB relating to this program are binding on all Customers.
- All documents, data, and all information of VIB related to this Program shall be binding on all Customers.
- VIB is exempt from liability for force majeure events occurring during the program. Force majeure circumstances included, but are unlimited to: war of aggression, attack from abroad, revolutionary rebellion, riots, civil war, social disorder, requisition, or other cases of force majeure. civil action or military junta, the law, regulation of the conduct or order of any governmental agency, mechanism, intermediary or official, embargo, natural disaster, fire, inclement weather inclement, flood, strike, disease (of any cause), any delay, violation or failure of the computer processing, including functional or equipment failure, in the provision of any banking equipment, facilities or services to the Customer if the delay, breach or processing error of such computer is beyond VIB's reasonable control, or other events, other force majeure circumstances that the parties cannot foresee and cannot overcome.
- In case of any complaints, Customers should contact VIB’s hotline 24/7 at 1900 2200 or 1800 8195 (Priority hotline) for resolution.
- If the complaint concerns a transaction not counted or incorrectly counted toward the eligible spending for promotions within 6 months from the transaction date recorded in VIB’s system, and Customer provides valid proof of purchase/invoice, VIB will review and make necessary adjustments.
- Complaint resolution will be based on VIB’s verification and evaluation of the following information and documents:
- Information and documents provided by Customer; and
- Information and documents collected by VIB; and
- Statements showing the related spending transactions for Reward Points, lounge visits, or fast-track services involved in the complaint; and
- Other relevant records and data;
- The complaint resolution timeframe will depend on the duration VIB takes to review and evaluate the aforementioned information, documents, and data.
- The result of the complaint resolution will be notified to the phone number and/or email address registered by the Cardholder with VIB after the resolution is made, but not earlier than 10 working days from the statement date of the spending transaction related to Reward Points, Airport lounge or Fast track services involved in the complaint.
- During the complaint process with VIB and while VIB is handling the complaint, Customer agrees not to provide complaint information to any third party, nor to file any complaints, accusations, or lawsuits against VIB with any third party.
- Any dispute arising between VIB and Customer related to this promotion shall be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring the dispute to the competent court at VIB’s headquarters for resolution.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by Vietnamese law. By participating in this promotion, Customer acknowledges full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and commits to strictly complying.

1 Types of goods and services are determined in accordance with current law (excluding vouchers, coins, cards, stars on the internet environment, or similar platform with any other names identified by VIB).
2 The Customer's own legally personal consumption purpose is shown by Customer's information in the Person/Buyer/Unit Name/Tax ID number fields on the Transaction Proofing Document.
3 The Cardholder's working place is determined based on the information provided by the Cardholder on the Card Issuance Application and/or the Cardholder's declared information recorded on VIB's system and/or information determined by VIB based on other sources including but not limited to social insurance information, personal income tax finalization.
4 Payment transactions of Prudential Insurance fee by VIB credit cardholder to the cardholder themselves (understood as Cardholder's name is the same as the Insurance contract's name) via Internet Banking/MyVIB is still acceptable in the specific rewards program (if any).
5 The invoice must include the required details as prescribed in Article 10 of Decree 123/2020/NĐ-CP and its amend-ments or supplements (if any), including but not limited to: invoice title; invoice symbol; invoice form number sym-bol; invoice number; invoice copy name (for invoices printed by tax authorities as guided by the Ministry of Fi-nance); name, address, and tax identification number of the seller; name, address, tax identification number or budget-related unit code, or personal identification number of the buyer; description, unit of measurement, quanti-ty, and unit price of goods or services; total amount excluding VAT; VAT rate; total VAT by tax rate (for VAT invoices), total VAT amount, and total payment including VAT; buyer's and seller's signatures, seller’s stamp (if any), and date of invoice issuance; code of the tax authority for e-invoices with a tax authority’s code as regulated in Clause 2, Arti-cle 3 of Decree 123/2020/NĐ-CP; any fees, charges to the state budget, commercial discounts, or promotions (if any) in accordance with Point e, Clause 6, Article 10 of Decree 123/2020/NĐ-CP; name and tax code of the organization authorized to print invoices (for invoices printed by tax authorities). In particular, the seller’s name, address, and tax code must match the information of the merchant/card-accepting unit and the transaction location shown on the Statement.
