Warning: Fraudulent website impersonating the State Bank of Vietnam

According to a notice from the Information Technology Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), several fake websites have recently been detected impersonating the SBV’s official online portal.

These fraudulent websites copy the design and content of the legitimate SBV site and distribute APK files containing malware on Android devices. This malware can gain unauthorized access to systems, Illegally collect personally identifiable information (PII) and bank account data, and take control of users’ devices, compromising system security.

To protect your online safety, we advise customers to:

• Access only the official SBV online portal at https://sbv.gov.vn
• Avoid suspicious websites or unusual links that may be fraudulent.
• Do not provide personal information, bank account details, passwords, or OTP codes to unknown links or applications.
• Download applications only from Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
