Announcement of the digital banking application’s security enhancement in compliance with Circular 77/2025/TT NHNN - Secure your digital banking experience

Dear Valued Customers,

As cybercrime continues to evolve with increasing sophistication, safeguarding our customers’ assets remains VIB’s top priority. In compliance with Circular 77/2025/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam, VIB is officially upgrading the security framework on the digital banking applications such as MyVIB, VIB Business & Max with the following key requirements:

• Effective from March 1, 2026, all customers are required to use the latest version of the digital banking applications to comply with Circular 77/2025/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam (including activating the apps on a new device or reactivating the app).
• The digital banking applications will automatically exit or stop functioning if the system detects any of the following on your device:
  • The device has been tampered with (rooted, jailbroken, or bootloader unlocked).
  • Use of emulators, virtual machines, or activation of technical intervention modes (debugging mode, ADB, or developer options).
  • The application has been modified or unofficially repackaged.

To ensure a seamless banking experience, VIB recommends that customers:

• Use genuine mobile devices with the original operating system.
• Always update to the latest version of your digital banking applications on the App Store or Google Play.
• Disable Developer Options and similar system‑level features when performing banking transactions.
