Three changes to the VIB Family Link credit card  from April 27th

Launched in 2021, VIB Family Link is Vietnam's first credit card specifically designed for families, helping parents manage household expenses and supporting them with young children. Over the past three years, this product has brought joy to tens of thousands of families with Smile rewards earned on every family-related expense such as healthcare, education, insurance, birthday celebrations, and wedding anniversaries...

Understanding that family expenses always take up a large portion of the budget each month, VIB recently upgraded the Family Link card features to optimize benefits for cardholders. Accordingly, from April 27, 2024, cardholders can choose to register one of three spending categories based on their family's actual needs: Education, Healthcare, Insurance, and receive cashback points up to 10%. Other spending categories receive 0.1% cashback on total transactions. The total maximum cashback is 1,000,000 points per billing period.

For cards issued before April 27, 2024, customers have the option to upgrade to the new features by registering their spending categories through MyVIB or the VIB Hotline (1800 8195) free of charge. If retained, cardholders will continue to enjoy the rewards points and annual fee benefits as before.

As part of this feature upgrade, VIB Family Link also offers an educational insurance package for children and accident insurance for the cardholder - a practical gift replacing the previous global travel insurance package.

VIB Family Link cardholders also receive many attractive benefits, especially when linking and opening cards for a spouse. Specifically, the annual fee is reduced by 50%, now only 499,000 VND for the primary card and 250,000 VND for the supplementary card from April 27, 2024. Moreover, the primary cards will have a 50% lifetime fee waiver if they are opened and linked within 30 days, and the supplementary cards will have a 100% lifetime fee waiver if they are opened at the same time with the primary card.

Opening a new VIB Family Link card from now until June 30, 2024, cardholders will also enjoy additional benefits: the first year's annual fee waiver for the primary card and two supplementary cards, and an additional 10% cashback on expenditures within 90 days of card issuance (up to 1,500,000 VND).
